Introducing master jeweler, jens bisgaard
Jens was born in Denmark, moved to Sweden where he learned his trade as a master silversmith after 4-1/2 years apprenticeship in Stockholm, Sweden. He moved to Georgetown, CO in 1963 to work for Gustermann’s Art Studio to make ornate chalices for religious services. He opened his own store in 1965 and started designing and making Scandinavian jewelry with and without precious and semi-precious stones.
In 1977 he moved to Pittsburgh, PA to work for a prestigious jewelry store doing custom design work. He opened his own store in the mid-1980’s specializing in custom made jewelry in gold, silver and platinum. He closed his business in Sewickley, PA in 1996 and moved to Brevard County to do juried art shows in Florida and other states in the U.S.
He is a member of the Craftsman Guild in Pittsburgh, PA and the Vero Beach Art Club, Vero Beach, FL and has won many awards for his custom design jewelry.
